About us
Mission
Our mission is to accelerate the global journey to a low carbon future by providing a rapid, low-cost solution for offshore carbon sequestration.
We are bold, ambitious, creative, and climate conscious, focused on serving the needs of our productive industries in an environmentally responsible way.
In Australia, the Federal Government, through the Clean Energy Regulator, has committed to technology-based solutions to achieve its net zero emissions target by 2050. Sea-Quester’s Carbon Harvester System proposes to fit this bill by enabling the disposal of large quantities of CO₂ economically, safely, and permanently.
Strategy
Sea-Quester is a company focused on action against climate change by accelerating industry towards net zero through our unique carbon sequestration solutions, services, and technology.
For hard to abate sectors, technology and cost innovation is required to move industrial production to a carbon neutral position. Sea-Quester disposes of the CO2 captured by industrial emitters using low-cost, innovative technology to permanently sequester the CO2 into offshore reservoirs.
Our strategy is to:
- 1
Explore for, acquire title to, drill, develop and dispose of industrially sourced CO2 into greenhouse gas storage acreage using our Pivotree™ / Carbon Harvester sequestration system,
- 2
Accumulate Carbon Credits gained by the disposal of CO2 into offshore reservoirs in tier one jurisdictions.
The company takes advantage of the 1-in-5 success rates for exploration drilling – that is, historically: approximately 18% of all reservoirs that have been drilled contain hydrocarbons. This means that for every discovered oil and gas field there are potentially four reservoirs that are candidates for CCS that have never contained petroleum.
